一、基本信息和简介

廖毅,博士,华南农业大学(首聘)教授。2015年获中国科学院大学理学博士学位。随后分别在中国科学院遗传与发育生物学研究所、美国德州大学奥斯汀分校、加州大学尔湾分校和德州农工大学从事博士后与科研工作。在基因组生物学、群体遗传学和生物信息学等方面具有较好的积淀。近年来,以第一作者或通讯作者在Genome ResearchThe Plant CellNature Communications以及Molecular Biology & Evolution等期刊上发表了多篇学术论文。同期,10余篇重要合作论文发表于ScienceCellNature genetics以及PNAS等权威期刊上。20233月入职华南农业大学园艺学院,研究方向包括:1蔬菜品质、抗逆和抗病性状形成的分子基础;2蔬菜种质资源开发利用和种质创新;3)蔬菜分子聚合育种技术的开发。

三、研究领域

主要方向:茄果类蔬菜近缘、野生以及群体种质资源的系统发育、组学评价和生物育种应用;利用进化、群体基因组学和网络生物学解析蔬菜重要品质和抗逆性状形成的遗传和基因组学基础;分子聚合育种。基础理论方向:1)植物进化与群体基因组学、计算生物学以及生物信息学技术;2)植物三维基因组结构的形成机理、功能、计算建模及工程;3) 植物基因组复杂结构变异的形成机制和检测算法开发;4)网络生物学理论和技术研究。
